About

My name is Mathias Erik Nord and I am 21 years old. I currently am pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. My degree is a combination of Computer Science and Engineering subjects such as maths, physics and statistics. The degree specializes in cybersecurity and programming. 

I have been interested in technology and all sorts of mechanical vehicles since I was very young. During my childhood up until now I have had lots of different hobbies and Interests, from soccer, skiing, biking, lifting weights to gaming and fiddling with computers. I ended up studying an Engineering bachelor in Computer Science, because it combines my interest for technology and natural science. 

During High School I had a growing interest for finance and social-economics, which has made me curious about the opportunities in the intersection between finance, economics and technology. I have read about investing and invested in stocks and funds for quite some time and I am interested in how technology impacts the world economically, but also politically.

 My current goal is to graduate with a bachelor, and then pursue a Masters degree in either a technical field, and/or more towards business and economics. My dream is to be able to contribute in a fast paced field, that will help a lot of people in their daily life. I think combining technological and financial knowledge will give me an opportunity to do work that can benefit and help a lot of people. Working in a fintech company will most certainly help fulfilling my interest for tech and finance.
